Top minds discuss the future of digital

Richmond is once again alight with some of the brightest minds in digital, with the 8th official Silicon Block Party.

The event is officially hitting the streets of the ‘Silicon Block’ in Richmond, Melbourne’s hub of innovation, with attendees from startups, consultancies, co-working spaces and the local tech giants like MYOB, Red Energy and REA Group. The connection between this community and the ‘Collins Street’ corporates is what makes this event unique – with the potential for a Senior Research Scientist from NASA to meet the CEO of Red Energy on a tennis court.

Guests can get hands on with the technology shaping the future, including Teslas, VR and a projection mapping experience like never before seen in Melbourne on the iconic Bryant & May building.

Sharing their stories to the 600+ audience is Carolyn Breeze (Head of Braintree for Australia), Jac Phillips (Head of Marketing for VISA Australia), Adam Jacobs (Co-Founder and MD of The Iconic), and, Marissa Rosenberg (Senior Research Scientist for NASA).

Hosted by IE Digital Founder Rhys Hayes, the panel discussion will kick off at 7:30pm, followed by a block party with Triple J Unearthed artists taking the stage! This event has become known for showcasing experiences from leaders in the digital community and next week’s event is no different including: IE Digital, Red Energy, MYOB, Start Up Victoria, REA Group, Inspire 9, Pause Fest, Braintree and Oliver and York.
